Murosity Project

I'll bet you are wondering what in the world a Murosity project might be?   Maybe this will help......

For the past month I have been involved as an artist on this project.  I was given a 12" square stretched canvas with an acrylic under painting already on it.  My job was to select an "everyday star" and depict something about this person on my piece of canvas. We have this great person at our church that coordinates the food pantry. One day he mentioned to me that he loves to go out and find "treasures" to bring back for the families to choose from.  So... my piece centered around a treasure chest full of food.  It was kind of tricky because at the bottom of my piece was a roof that goes with the larger mural. This is what mine finally looks like.

I can hardly wait to see all 160 pieces put together in one place.  The opening should be sometime in September. Stay tuned.
